B4UDate for counselors
B4UDate helps people date smarter by verifying information about their online matches. Sometimes what they find is upsetting: a fake identity, a record of violence, or a reminder of a relationship that wasn't safe. When that happens, they can find you right on their results.
What you get
Free to join and free to use
- A listing in "Get help from a professional" on members' screening results: your name, a short description, your license, where you work, online or in person, your languages and specialties, and a link to your website.
- Members near you first: each member sees first the professionals who work in their state (in the US) or country, then those who work online there.
- Members contact you through your website, as they would any practice.
Who can apply
Counselors, therapists, psychologists and social workers, and advocates who support people through abuse, assault or trauma. If you hold a license, give its type and number: members see them on your listing, and we look them up before approving you.

Give back
When a member becomes your client, record them on your dashboard and give your contribution.
Giving back
For each client you get through B4UDate, you agree to give this share of your fee to organizations that help victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. Record the client on your dashboard (a name or initials, and the date) and pay by card from there.
Privacy and security
- The clients you record are only a name or initials and a date, and we store the name encrypted.
- Every professional is reviewed by hand before they're listed.
- Two-factor sign-in with an authenticator app, with recovery codes in case you lose your phone.
Professional terms
Everyone listed in this category agrees to these when they apply.
As a professional listed by B4UDate, you agree to:
- For each client you get through B4UDate, give a share of what you charge them to organizations that help victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. B4UDate sets the share, currently 10%. Record each such client on your dashboard and pay the share from there.
- Hold any license your work requires where you work, and keep your license details, company name, website and description accurate.
- Only offer services you are qualified to offer. If you are not licensed as a therapist, counselor or psychologist, never call yourself one or offer therapy, diagnosis or treatment.
- Follow the laws and professional rules that apply to your work, including keeping your clients' information confidential.
- Members contact you through your website. B4UDate is not part of any service you provide and does not share members' reports with you.
- Keep your sign-in to yourself, and never let anyone else use your account.
- Describe B4UDate honestly in your marketing, and never suggest that B4UDate endorses, certifies or employs you.
B4UDate may remove your listing or close your account if you break these terms.
