B4UDate for private investigators
B4UDate helps people date smarter by verifying information about their online matches. When a member wants a professional to look further, they can find you on their results and share their screening reports with you.
What you get
Free to join and free to use
- A listing for B4UDate members: every approved investigator appears in the "Find a private investigator" box on members' screening results, with your company name, a short description and a link to your website.
- Your clients' own screenings: when a member gives you their access code, you can see the reports they've run on the people they're meeting.
- One place for your cases: your clients, their reports and your contribution history.
How it works
-
1
Apply
Tell us about your business: your company, your website and a short description of your services.
-
2
We review
We review every application by hand, usually within 24 to 48 hours, and email you when you're approved.
-
3
Members find you
Once approved, you're listed on members' screening results, and they can visit your website from there.
-
4
Add your client
Your client gives you the third-party access code from their B4UDate profile. Enter it on your dashboard to see their reports.
The reports you can see
- Data validation: whether the details a match gave check out.
- Government ID validation.
- A social media search, which you can also download as a PDF.
- Reports are kept for 90 days, then deleted.
Giving back
For each client you get through B4UDate, you agree to give this share of your fee to organizations that help victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. You pay it by card from your dashboard.
Security
- Every investigator is reviewed by hand before they can see any client's reports.
- Two-factor sign-in with an authenticator app, with recovery codes in case you lose your phone.
Investigator terms
Every investigator agrees to these when they apply.
As a B4UDate investigator, you agree to:
- For each client you get through B4UDate, give a share of what you charge them to organizations that help victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. B4UDate sets the share, currently 10%, and you pay it by card from your dashboard.
- Hold any license your work requires where you operate, and keep your company name, website and description accurate.
- Only view a client's reports with their permission, using the access code they give you, and only for that client's case.
- Keep the reports confidential. Never share, sell or reuse what they contain outside your client's case, and follow the privacy and investigator laws that apply to your work.
- Treat B4UDate reports as leads to check, not proof. The information can be incomplete or out of date, so never tell a client a report shows someone is safe or dangerous without your own investigation.
- Keep your sign-in to yourself, and never let anyone else use your account.
- Describe B4UDate honestly in your marketing, and never suggest that B4UDate endorses your services.
B4UDate may remove your listing or close your account if you break these terms.
