Your details

Your business

What to write in your description
  • Up to 500 characters: three or four sentences.
  • Say who you help and how: what you do, who you usually work with, and how a first contact works.
  • Plain text only: no links, phone numbers, email addresses or street addresses. Members reach you through your website.
  • Only claim what is true and can be checked. Licenses and certifications must match the license details you give. If you are not licensed as a therapist, counselor or psychologist, don't call yourself one or offer therapy, diagnosis or treatment. Investigators must not suggest they are police or can get records the law doesn't allow.
  • No guarantees or promises about results, such as "guaranteed", "100% success" or "find anyone".
  • Don't say B4UDate recommends, certifies or employs you. "Listed on B4UDate" is fine.
  • No client names, stories or testimonials that could identify a client or a B4UDate member.
  • No pressure: no fear-based selling, no offers that expire, no sales talk aimed at people in distress.
  • Write in English or the language you work in; if you work in more than one, you may use both, within the limit.
  • B4UDate reads every description and may ask you to change it, edit it or hide it.

Professional terms

As a professional listed by B4UDate, you agree to:

  1. For each client you get through B4UDate, give a share of what you charge them to organizations that help victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. B4UDate sets the share, currently 10%. Record each such client on your dashboard and pay the share from there.
  2. Hold any license your work requires where you work, and keep your license details, company name, website and description accurate.
  3. Only offer services you are qualified to offer. If you are not licensed as a therapist, counselor or psychologist, never call yourself one or offer therapy, diagnosis or treatment.
  4. Follow the laws and professional rules that apply to your work, including keeping your clients' information confidential.
  5. Members contact you through your website. B4UDate is not part of any service you provide and does not share members' reports with you.
  6. Keep your sign-in to yourself, and never let anyone else use your account.
  7. Describe B4UDate honestly in your marketing, and never suggest that B4UDate endorses, certifies or employs you.

B4UDate may remove your listing or close your account if you break these terms.
